Questions
Do I need the GQA health and safety test?
Yes. It is included, and a current CITB Operatives pass may count instead.
How long does it take?
Learning is self-paced. You book each test when you are ready, and we request your card once you pass.
What if I fail?
You can resit the GQA health and safety test. Level 1 module tests have their own resit rules, shown in your account.
Do I have to go anywhere in person?
Some checks may need an in-person appointment. If your recorded English check is referred, we offer a free interview at our centre.
Is this an official qualification?
Yes. The GQA Level 1 Award in Construction Health and Safety is regulated by Ofqual.
